Location: Men's Shelter & Women's Shelter
Shift Availability: 10:00pm-6:00am, 6:00am-2:00pm (3 to 4 days a week) (Flexible)

Duties
- Support residents through intake procedures, including data collection and documentation of personal information
- Assist with behavioral health and behavioral management strategies to promote positive resident interactions
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and ensuring safety for all individuals
- Supervise residents’ activities, enforce shelter rules, and promote a respectful environment
- Administer medication as prescribed, maintaining accurate records in compliance with health regulations
- Conduct security checks, monitor CCTV surveillance, and manage access control to ensure shelter safety
- Assist with case management tasks such as coordinating services, referrals, and follow-up support for residents
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and record-keeping related to shelter operations and resident information
- Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or other appropriate measures while following safety protocols
Qualifications
- Prior supervising experience in social services or shelter settings is highly desirable
- Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively
- Knowledge of addiction counseling, behavioral health practices, and conflict management techniques
- Experience with intake processes, case management, and data collection systems (LIHTC knowledge is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and follow health & safety guidelines including first aid certification
- Familiarity with home & community care practices and security procedures in shelter environments
- Proficiency in data entry, filing systems, and maintaining detailed records for compliance purposes
